Long Beach Stoneware Mug

The mug is hand thrown from a stoneware clay (Long Beach by Aardvark Clay) and fired in a gas kiln to cone 10 (~2300F). I really like the earthy color and the feel of the clay. To showcase those qualities, I try to smooth the surface as much as possible during production and glaze minimally to focus the user’s experience on the clay and the shape of the mug.
These mugs are dishwasher safe, but please take extra care as they are all hand made. Washing them by hand is the best option.
