Stoneware #5 mug with clear glaze
* Height: 9.5 cm / Diameter: 8 cm (12.5 cm measured at the widest part of the mug with the handle) / Capacity: 275 ml
This mug is hand thrown from a stoneware clay (Stoneware #5 by IMCO) and fired to cone 10 (~2300F) in a gas kiln. When fired in reduction atmosphere, the iron in the clay body reacts with the chemicals in the clear glaze and turns into this really nice pale gray-ish green color. It has been my go-to clay/glaze combination.
These mugs are dishwasher safe, but please take extra care as they are all hand-made. Washing them by hand is still the recommend best option.
* All the pieces are handcrafted. Although I do my best to make everything identical, dimensions may still vary slightly from the pieces received.
